Today I'm linking up for my first Thankful Thursday with Make Me Up Mia, The Strong Family, Carly Blogs Here and Katie Elizabeth. I love that these girls have created this link-up so that we can share what we're thankful for in our lives, no matter how big or small!
{one} Robert isn't sick this week! Two weeks ago he had a cold virus and an ear infection. Last week he had a stomach flu. But so far this week *knock on wood* he's feeling good and back to his normal, happy self!
{two} Sleep! Robert was waking up several times a night when he wasn't feeling well. We had 2+ weeks of only 4-6 hours of sleep, and it wasn't all at once. I was used to getting up with him when he was a newborn...yes I was tired, but I didn't mind it. Now that I'm used to sleeping all night again, getting up in the middle of the night is just plain hard. I finally got a full 8 hours in on Tuesday night and I feel like a new woman!

{three} I'm so very thankful that I have a boss that understands that kids get sick. I only worked one day last week and I was never once made to feel bad about it. I'm pretty sure that's the definition of work/life balance!
{four} You! I just started my blog last week to document my little family of three and I've been welcomed with open arms! I never expected the aspect of community that I've experienced in such a short amount of time. I'm looking forward to the many friendships that will be made!
What are you thankful for this week?
So glad he is feeling better and you're catching up on some sleep!! The blogging community really is THE best :)
ReplyDeleteUGH... I'm a germaphobe so when I hear of sickness - I cringe... glad its all clearing up at your home!
ReplyDeleteglad he is feeling better, and yay for your boss being understanding. thats awesome, and rare!
ReplyDeleteHaving a boss that understands real life is amazing. Sometimes they're really hard to find, so you're totally blessed that you have a good one. I just ran across your blog. :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad to have you link up with us this week-- hopefully this will be the first of many Thankful posts :) I'm so glad to hear your son is feeling better! When people around you are sick (especially your kids, I imagine), it's so hard to be away from them so I'm glad you were able to take time off work!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the blogging world! I've only been blogging a few months myself. Good luck with everything and I look forward to following you!
ReplyDeleteAhh I didn't realize you just started your blog! Welcome!! I've only been blogging since September but it has been so rewarding :) So happy that Robert is feeling better and that you are all getting some sleep!!
